The president, Muhammad Buhari on Monday signed the 2019 Appropriation bill of N8.92 trillion into law. The president expressed his displeasure at the increase of the budget submitted to the National Assembly with over N90 billion.
Also,the budgetary allocations of the government to some specific projects aimed at diversifying the economy was reduced by the law makers thereby making the government's plans difficult for execution.
The event which took place at the President's office in the late hours of the morning hosted the presence of some prominent figures; the senate president, Bukola Saraki who came in after the president had dropped his pen, and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, the speaker of the house of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, the chairman of the senate committee on appropriation, Danjuma Goje and a host of others.
